support@supercut.ccEntirely on your own device. Trimming, cropping, captions, effects, and export all run locally through a bundled FFmpeg engine. Your video files are never uploaded to a server. To plan an edit, the AI assistant gets the text of your request, basic clip details (length, dimensions, filename), and the words said in your clips and their sound levels, both worked out on your device. It gets 4 to 8 small, low-resolution frames only if you turn that on in the editor's Director, and that is off by default.
Editing and export work offline once the app is set up. An internet connection is needed for signing in, billing, and the AI assistant step (which sends your request, clip details, and the words and sound levels worked out on your device, plus frames only if you turned them on). The first time you use captions, the app downloads a small open-source speech model to your device; after that, captions run offline too.
Editing in Supercut is free, and so is your first export. Pro gives you unlimited exports, available monthly, yearly, as a one-time lifetime purchase, or as a 7-day pass that ends by itself. On the web your plan is handled by Stripe; in the Mac App Store it is handled by Apple in-app purchase, and the 7-day pass is sold on the web and in the direct desktop download only. One account works across the web app and the desktop app.
For web (Stripe) subscriptions, open the billing portal from inside the app to cancel or manage your plan. For Mac App Store purchases, manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple account settings, and request refunds through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. A full refund within 7 days applies to the monthly, yearly and lifetime plans. The 7-day pass is not covered by that window, except for a duplicate charge or a technical failure. If anything looks wrong, email us and we will help. The refund policy has the timings in full.
Click Sign in. The app opens your browser to supercut.cc, you log in there, and the browser hands a secure token back to the app over your local machine. Your Pro plan then applies automatically.
Because your videos are processed locally, there is no video data on our servers to delete. To remove your account and the account information tied to it (email, subscription record), email us at the address below and we will delete it.
